RTWResources is a transformational Workers’ Compensation Resource Center for the Community of Stakeholders. All stakeholders will be provided information about their particular areas of workers’ compensation. Additionally, the “Resource Center” will provide instant access to electronic medical records with automated features that require adjusters, treating physicians, and others to communicate with various stakeholders repeatedly and manually. Added: All of the automated features incorporated into the Resource Center help establish system efficiencies. At the same time, this is a great labor saver for everyone involved with treating the injured worker. The most important benefits are related to expediting multiple functions for the injured worker because delays often make the injured worker believe as though nobody cares. According to the scientific literature, delays in receiving treatment or referrals often create more psychosocial factors, resulting in the injured worker experiencing delayed recovery and extending disability duration. Our goal is to prevent this from happening. Added: For example, when a treating physician refers the injured worker to another physician for treatment, an email is sent to the adjuster, and the physician receiving the referral. The referring physician then receives an email from the adjuster and the physician being referred to. The appointment has been automatically made to ensure the injured worker is seen as quickly as possible.
